Description
You can tell an Ajwa date by its almost black color and its finely wrinkled skin. Its flesh is tender, a little dry to the touch, with a more restrained sweetness than Medjool and notes that recall prunes.
It is a date for giving and sharing: on the ftour table during Ramadan, with a glass of milk, during the visits that welcome someone home from Hajj, or on a gift platter. Serve it in a small bowl next to lighter dates for a play of colors.

Storage
In a closed container, in a cool, dry place. In hot weather, keep them in the fridge and take them out a little before serving so they soften again.
