Five nibbles, sweet or savory
On the sweet side, Caramel peanuts and Strawberry peanuts have a crunchy, glossy shell that children love. On the savory side, Olive and oregano chickpeas and Cheese fava beans make a bold, crisp snack, perfect with a cold drink. Quinoa peanuts, coated in seeds, bring an unusual texture to the bowl. Five products, five ways to bring people to the table without setting foot in the kitchen, all sold by weight so you can put together exactly the assortment you need.
Building a snack bowl
Mix one sweet and two savory, or serve each flavor separately so everyone can choose. For a more generous assortment, add Roasted salted pistachios or Roasted salted cashews, and a little dried fruit for color, such as Dried kiwi or Dried mango. For a match night, set out big bowls and refill them as you go rather than tipping everything in at once: the rest stays crunchy in the closed bag. A small spoon or tongs next to each bowl keeps fingers out: a detail that counts when you have guests.
Allergens: read before serving
Peanuts are a major allergen, distinct from tree nuts, and reactions can be severe. Coatings and seasonings may also contain milk, as in the cheese ones, gluten or other ingredients. If a guest is allergic, serve them separate products and check the ingredients with us before you order. Finally, peanuts and whole nuts are not suitable for young children, who risk choking: keep them for older children, under supervision.
Keeping the crunch
The enemy of snacks is humidity: one badly closed bag and the coatings go soft. Move them to an airtight jar, keep them dry and away from heat, and take out only the amount you'll serve. Avoid the refrigerator unless they're in a tightly closed container: condensation softens the coatings. Stored well, these snacks stay ready for the next visit.
For which occasions
Match nights, of course, but also birthdays, children's snack time, summer evenings on the terrace or long Ramadan evenings after ftour. For a festive table, slip a bowl of snacks next to the classic nuts and dried fruit: it draws the youngest and leaves the almonds and dates to the others. For a children's birthday party, go for the sweet versions and keep the spicier ones for the adults.
